KGF AND TIRUNELVELI MEETINGS

July 25th, 2008 | Category: Ministry Report

Hi all,

i am actually trying to find out if there’s a way to find out how many are actually reading the blog…….. anyways, been a hectic month so far, after the srilankan trip, we went to Kolar Gold Field, conducted a youth retreat, and held two days of open air meetings, this was conducted by the C.S.I diocese, the meetings were a blessing to the people there, and then went to tirunelveli, had 6 sermons to preach in 2 days, went wery well, God touched the lives, and sowed the seed to a revival of the C.S.I church, where i preached in 2 days open air meeting and challenged the people, below are some of the pictures of tirunelveli, and kgf meetings, along with some of Nathan and Caleb.

God bless,

FJ

srilanka report with photos

July 04th, 2008 | Category: Ministry Report

I’ve just returned from a 20 day ministry trip to Sri Lanka, taking along 6 boys from Karunya and 1 from Jesus Calls.

We traveled extensively from coast to coast. It was an exhausting trip but completely satisfying and fruitful in every way…..’cos I wanted the boys to catch a glimpse of what it is to actually be in ministry, that too in a needy place like Lanka .

We were so moved to see the longing in the people to be in the presence of God and their eagerness to listen to His word as they thronged the meetings in hundreds, in most places. God anointed each meeting powerfully as we went about doing is work. It was a great learning experience for the boys, they too preached at times. We witnessed completely different sets of people as we traveled from place to place, being touched by their hospitality inspite of their hardships.

There were places where the people were kneeling and crying out to God on the streets, there were places where we could sit peacefully in the presence of God still hearing the sound of ammunition not far from us. Guess we were the only Indian passport holders in all of Jaffna. There were places where people had lost al hope in life while we often don’t often see or even realize the abundance of the grace of God on our lives…..immeasurable grace! What a contrast!

This trip was way different from anything I’ve ever undertaken before. God gave us an immense burden to pray for the nation and as we traveled we spent a lot of time in prayer. God also gave me a prophetic message that soon things in Sri Lanka will change and settle down. Amen!

Thank you all for your prayerful support. As for me, the fulfillment I get in doing ministry in this amazing country is incomparable and really worth it. Physical exertion is now taking it’s toll on all of us as we are still to recover from our jet lag (of one hour!) hahahaha. the places we ministered, are as follows, komari, kalmunai, kotamunai, puliyanthivu, vazhachenai, kallar, vaharai, trincomalee, hutton, colombo, jaffna, point pedro
